Additional Information Purpose of positionTo manage the integrity and functionality of the Asset Management and Project Costing PeopleSoft Modules
Essential functionsPerform fit/gap analysis and serve as a Team Lead for both Asset Management and Project Costing in PeopleSoft Finance implementation and upgrades.Consult with business units to obtain information as needed during system design and development. Evaluate alternatives to application modifications. Monitors, escalates and coordinates efforts with technical support to ensure integrity of the PeopleSoft Finance applications. Performs daily maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of PeopleSoft Financial Applications including: General Ledger, Asset Management, Project Costing, Combo Edits, Chartfields, Currency Valuations, Inter-company accounting, Consolidations, and Change Requests. Designs and develops reports and drilldown layouts via PeopleSoft nVision. Ensures data integrity of PeopleSoft data that is interfaced to other financial applications. Provides leadership and support to team members as well as conducts training sessions, as appropriate. Performs month-end close process and documents functional business specifications.

Required qualificationsBachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Four years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, cost and financial analysis.
Preferred qualificationsMBA or CPA. Experience with higher education financial reporting, capital asset accounting, DEFINE, and PeopleSoft Asset Management, Project Costing, and General Ledger modules. Analytical, accurate, and have excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong work ethic, team player, able to work independently, conduct themselves professionally, and work well with others.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least
20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
