The Senior Business Analyst conducts business process analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis in an effort to guide information technology solutions into alignment with business initiatives. This particular position will also perform as the Oracle Financials application and processing subject matter expertise for business clients and technical resources.
Job Responsibilities: * Provide direction to the technical staff with whom they are partnered on projects with and daily management to less senior business analysts and project managers. * Assists the business client with the drafting of business requirements inline with corporate standards, and developing ROI analysis for all projects. * Provide Oracle application and processing subject matter expertise for business clients and technical resources on large and complex projects. * Perform analysis to identify/verify production application issues, provides solutions, and performs ongoing auditing to validate process success on small, large and complex projects. * Coordinates solution execution, organizes deployment, and/or support actions required in response to deployment issues for large and complex projects. * Identifies and documents Functional Requirements, conduct requirements gathering sessions and creates the Joint Requirements Document (JRD). * Reviews and approves testing scripts, SAT, validate test results and occasionally executing test scripts for larger, more complex, projects. * Performs ongoing auditing to validate process successes and define requirements for needed enhancements to applications for smaller, less complex, projects. * Supports the business client as a train the trainer resource and provides one-on-one training in application use and process flow. * The Senior Business Analyst may act in a lead role, providing daily management for one or more less senior business analysts.
Requirements:
Education Requirements: Bachelors degree (B.A.) and four years of related experience; or six to eight years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of technical and functional business expertise in an Oracle Financials 11i or 12i environment is also required.
Other Qualifications: * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. * Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. * Deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. * Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
