Harvard University IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Platform Architect to be part of the Identity and Access Management group, the team that manages the central authentication services for the university as well as the management/distribution of identities and people data.
The key responsibilities include the following:
. Maintain stated Service Level Agreements for application uptime
. Design, deploy and support the end-to-end infrastructure for a highly available and fault tolerant production system.
. Design, deploy and support the end-to-end infrastructure and technical architecture for builds and deployments.
. Design, deploy and support the end-to-end infrastructure and technical architecture for the monitoring system.
. Work with technical teams around the university to troubleshoot application-related issues
. Work with the application development team on upcoming releases.
. Work with the vendors on production support issues.
. Participate in the on-call rotation Basic Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
? Bachelors or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems.
? Experience with designing, developing, or supporting J2EE applications in Unix and Windows environments.
? Working knowledge of build tools (Ant, Maven) and Unix shell scripting
? Working knowledge of SQL, including hands-on experience with Oracle or MS SQL
? Working knowledge of one of the following J2EE servers: Weblogic, Websphere, JBOSS, Tomcat
? Working knowledge of SDLC
? Superior troubleshooting skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Qualifications In addition to the required skills, the ideal candidate will have these highly desirable skills:
? Knowledge of Identity Management concepts is a desired. Experience with LDAP or AD preferred
? Knowledge of the Oracle Identity Management Suite (OAM, OVD, OIF, etc.) is highly desirable
