By harnessing the talents of gifted educational entrepreneurs, AACPA works to produce inspired, creative, ethical, compassionate, and reflective leaders who offer solutions to the problems posed by a democratic society. * Report to school from 7:15AM ? 3:45PM * Teach an extended year which runs from early August to mid June * Hold high expectations for students * Possess a strong knowledge of their content area * Demonstrate strong pedagogy * Exhibit a positive rapport with students * Create and teach challenging and engaging lessons linked to state standards * Create and foster a positive learning environment * Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents * Have a proven track record of student achievement * Attend all staff meetings * Believe deeply in the mission of preparing all students for college and beyond AACPA requires the following qualifications for teachers * At least two years of teaching experience (not including student teaching) * Experience/strength in content area * Must have a current teaching license * Willingness to work toward obtaining a Nevada State teaching license * Commitment to working with economically disadvantaged students * Commitment to the development of AACPA AACPA prefers the following qualifications * Nevada State teaching license * Masters in Education/ Teaching or content area * Experience teaching in an urban school Please email resumes to: or fax 948-6002 Requirements
