JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for accurate accounting of all research accounts receivable and payable. This position will be responsible for performing a complete Medicare coverage analysis for each identified research study to promote and confirm compliance with Medicare's general billing rules and regulations. Additionally, this position will serve as an expert and perform a pre-review for feasibility to conduct the study utilizing extensive knowledge of billing rules and regulations as well as federal, state and local laws related to research. The analyst will partner with other research staff and the Research Institute Director and Corporate Integrity to conduct training on research related billing practices. This position will report to the Research and Finance Contracts Manager and will work closely with the Business office, patient financial services, facility finance and the research team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:

§ Assoc. degree in finance or business, or applicable experience (1-3 years)
§ Two (2) years medical clerical experience
§ Medical terminology
§ Microsoft Office Experience
§ Database experience
§ Type 40 words per minute.
§ Excellent telephone skills.
§ Familiar with office automation equipment, transcription, calculators, facsimile, modem, communication software, computers, printers, copy machines, scanner, overhead and audio-visual equipment.
