DUTIES: Research, design, plan, develop and evaluate network technologies; perform portfolio management of technical organization using Global System for Mobile communications (GSM), general packet radio service (GPRS) and enhanced data rates for GSM evolution (EDGE); develop systems for information technologies (IT) technology networks, supporting deliverables for products and systems including profit and loss ownership and supporting executive leadership; provide mid to long term planning and analysis for solution recommendations for business issues that are the basis for capital deployment and allocation decisions; recommend strategic network architecture planning and network evolution policy decisions; prepare management report on proposed new technologies; work with marketing to develop implementation strategies for specific technology applications; determine future business and customer technology needs; develop and execute product testing and integration plans for new or updated products; perform planning, scheduling, resource allocation and assignments, critical path analysis, expense tracking, and actual vs. budget analysis; consult on user requirement definition, recommend business solutions/alternatives, assist in request for proposal (RFP) development and evaluations; determine future business and customer technology needs; track and monitor trends and developments in specific technologies; develop and execute product testing and integration plans for new or updated products; analyze and improve existing business processes, and assist client organizations in the identification, planning and implementation of business process solutions.
