People Development Support Specialist- WCM
Chrysler's World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is the new manufacturing system adopted from Fiat in 2009. This new system consists of a lean collection of structured methods and tools that are applied in a very disciplined and methodical approach to eliminate waste and loss and promote improvement in the production system. People Development (PD) is one of the essential pillars supporting People Development Support Specialist is responsible for coaching and developing the People Development Leads in the logic and methodologies of the PD pillar. This includes all audit activities that drive the education and training development of plant employees at all levels. Provide PD Leads with critique and guidance. Ensure training plans are aligned to the plant's needs, budget and year-end targets. Verify proper development activities/methods are utilized at all levels of the organization. Develop and certify internal and external trainers to support the training plan. Ensure that the PD Lead is setting the targets and achieving the facilities projected results. Analyze data of the facilities activities and results. Work with plants to develop programs for the certification of all employees in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods and tools as well as technical/professional disciplines. Ensure support activities exist to build a culture of engagement and participation in WCM including an employee suggestion process. Support activities to foster communication of key plant and company information at all levels of the organization by optimizing the communication network and providing coaching and development for PD Leads in preparations for audits for the PD Pillar.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or coaching experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience and/or training management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Access
Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Training Management or Human Resources
• Self-directed and proficient at multi-tasking
• Proficient at solutions-based thinking
• Strong ability to analyze data for trends
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and models
• Knowledge of various education and training methods and tools
• Prior experience as a trainer
• Training curriculum development experience
• Lean manufacturing experience in an automotive company
• Project management and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to present in front of an audience
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to successfully interact with all levels of management and union
• Some travel will be required, approximately 20-30% with some travel to international destinations (i.e. Mexico, Canada)
