HP Palm is seeking an experienced marketing professional to lead the marketing efforts that will drive awareness and demand for webOS among the developer community in Asia Pacific. This individual will join an enthusiastic and passionate developer relations team and lead efforts to educate and attract developers in order to deliver quality applications and create a robust webOS app ecosystem in the region.
Responsibilities: · Work with the US team to support global rollout and localization of developer outreach programs for Asia Pacific · Define and support execution of awareness and lead generation programs ranging from events, direct mail campaigns, digital media campaigns, social media plans and innovative community outreach programs to attract new developers to the webOS platform · Serve as the regional developer and application expert for Asia Pacific , maintain marketing partnerships with showcase developers, identify key applications · Work cross-functionally with Business Development , Product Management and the developer technical teams to identify developer requirements and inform internal processes. · Champion developers and their applications to a wide variety of internal teams, leveraging all HP channels in order to maximize awareness and distribution opportunities for webOS applications. · Track and measure the success of all developer marketing programs, for continued optimization and strong ROI. Requirements · 7 years experience developing and executing marketing strategies and programs with demonstrated success in awareness and lead generation · Strong experience with digital media marketing and social media marketing · Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and lead cross functional teams. · Excellent communications (verbal and written) and presentations skills with the ability to translate technical benefits into business benefits. · Practical skills and knowledge of web site content management and marketing program tracking, measurement and program ROI · Strong understanding of global mobile markets, including trends, key platforms and technologies and application services. · Experience working with developer communities a plus · Bachelor degree required
