Job Title:Paraprofessional - General Assignment (7417)
School:Grant Ranch Elementary School
Hourly rate:$9.70 per hour
Work Year/Schedule:6 hours/day, 5 days/week
Position Start Date:ASAP
Overview:
The General Assignment Paraprofessional will academically support classrooms. Paraprofessional would be responsible for working with students who need intervention in the area of attendance and academic performance. Candidate would monitor academic progress, work with families and help support intervention programs with struggling students.
Responsibilities:
Supports teachers in the instruction of students, which includes but is not limited to: reading, writing, science, social studies, mathematics and other designated curriculum. Assists in conducting testing and assessment, multi-media activities, general office and clerical tasks, record keeping, computer operation, discipline, and other activities. Assists and supports in the development of lesson plans, and provides feedback on individual students.
Required Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree or 48 college semester credit hours or a BS/BA degree or a passing score on the WorkKeys assessment test and High School diploma is required. No previous experience is required.
