Overview

ITT Technical Institute is a leading provider of technology-oriented postsecondary degree programs designed to help students develop skills and knowledge they can use to pursue career opportunities in a variety of fields. At our more than 130 accredited ITT Technical Institutes located in approximately 40 states, we predominately provide career-focused degree programs of study in fields involving technology, criminal justice, business, and nursing to approximately 80,000 students. Oversees the Online Services student support operations function comprised of the financial aid, registrar and career services departments to achieve optimum growth potential and ensure business objectives are met.


Responsibilities
* Directs and oversees Online student support operations function. Ensures that direct reports take timely and proper action relative to Online Services initiatives.
* Monitors and evaluates key performance metrics, identifies opportunities to enhance operational performance, and provides guidance and direction to direct reports to implement operational improvements.
* In collaboration with, or at the direction of, the national directors of the financial, registrar and career services departments, develops and implements new processes, policies, and systems to maximize operational effectiveness and to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, laws, and regulatory requirements.
* Participates in the development of key performance metrics, goals and objectives for the assigned departments.
* Interfaces with IT on all Online IT projects/process improvements.
* Provides training and guidance to employees to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, ethical practices, and the guidelines of government and accrediting organizations.
* Promotes a consumer-oriented environment through the implementation of customer service standards.
* Provides leadership, direction, motivation, opportunities for development and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback and takes appropriate corrective action. Screens, interviews and hires departmental employees.
* May assist President, Online Services with preparing and managing annual budget and preparing quarterly forecasts. Assists with ad hoc analysis of Online Services performance.


Requirements
*
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related area from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
*
At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in related field, supervisory experience preferred.
*
Possess excellent interpersonal, influencing and collaboration skills. Experience in organizing and writing reports and presentations. Experience in presenting results to all levels of management. Able to work with a variety of disciplines and levels of the organization.
*
Efficiently utilize a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office and the Internet. Able to work with and utilize course management software and call center telecommunications technology.
*
Able to provide examples of using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
*
Able to recruit, interview and hire new employees for the assigned area. Able to foster a positive and productive work environment with ability to lead, build teams and motivate teams.
*
Able to provide examples of situations which need rule interpretation and application. Proven experience in performing inductive and deductive reasoning to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions and then apply those rules to specific problems to produce answers.
*
Proven experience in solving complex problems for individuals or teams. Experience with analyzing and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of options and exercising critical thinking, problem solving, and judgment skills. Excellent ability to analyze risks and identify ways to mitigate those risks.
*
Proven track record of project completions on time and within budget or other constraints.
*
Proven record of multi-tasking and ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures.
*
Past history of developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
