OG COE Operational Contracting Support (OCS) Analyst
Battle Command Training Program (BCTP) Exercise support staff the Operational Contracting Support (OSC) Division within Operations Group COE to assist with training Brigade, Division and Corps Commanders and their staffs during Mission Rehearsal and Full-Spectrum exercises (MRX/FSX) with contracting oversight, guidance on policy, and the need to act as contracting liaisons to the Joint Contracting Command-Iraq/Afghanistan as they are conduits to the regional contracting commands should any issues arise. Integrating basic familiarity with contractor support to deployed forces into MRXs to ensure that military commanders and other senior leaders who may deploy to locations with contractor support have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage contractors. The OCS Analysts coordinates, synchronizes, and deconflicts Operational Contracting Support scenarios for BCTP exercises. Coordination and synchronization effort is key to exercise preparation and resolving exercise design issues.
Basic Qualifications: Education: a. Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university. b. U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course or equivalent Intermediate Level Education.
Experience: c. Attended the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC)/Army Logistics University (ALU) Operational Contract Support Course (OCSC) as desired experience. Be Functional Area (FA) 51 (Army Acquisition Corps), FA 90 (Logistics), FA 97 (Contracting and Industrial Management) qualified, or have received the 3C Operational Contract Support (OCS) Additional Skill Identifier (ASI). Other: a. Five years U.S. military service. b. Two years experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large scale computer simulation exercises. c. Recent experience in OIF, OEF, or OND in operational contracting assignments overseas. d. SECRET clearance; and be eligible for a TOP Secret based on SSBI for TS/SCI, if desired by the government.
