About the Position:The Woodring College of Education offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree, endorsement and certificate programs in Bellingham, Everett, Seattle, and Bremerton. The Office of Field Experiences maintains an active vacancy pool for qualified, Affiliated Teaching Faculty, University Intern Coordinators, who supervise student teaching candidates. Affiliated Teaching Faculty, University Internship Coordinator positions are part-time, temporary positions and based upon the needs of the unit for supervision.
About the Department:The Office of Field Experiences coordinates school-based practica experiences and full-time student teaching internship placements for all Woodring College of Education Programs. Position Responsibilities:Affiliated Teaching Faculty University Intern Coordinators supervise students from Woodring's Secondary, Elementary and Special Education programs during their year-long, one-quarter or semester full-time student teaching internship.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree plus graduate credits
* Experience in the appropriate educational field
* Evidence of accomplished pre K-12 teaching
* A minimum of three references
Preferred Qualifications:
* Evidence of successful intern supervision and experience working with diverse populations
Academic Emphasis:
Job Location:Western Washington University internship placement locations in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Kitsap and north Pierce counties.
Salary:Commensurate with experience and qualifications
