Occupational Health & Safety Administrator
The Health and Safety Administrator is responsible to assist in the implementation of standardized plant safety and health programs to ensure compliancewith corporate safety and health policies and state and federal successful candidate will impact corporate savings through elimination of occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and improvement of production efficiency, as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 6 monthsof Occupational Safety & Health or Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of state and federal OSHA regulations and requirements
• Ability to sit for CSP Certification within a given time frame
Preferred Qualifications: • Advance Degree in Industrial Safety or Engineering
• CSP Certification or related a plus
• Working knowledge of World Class Manufacturing or Lean Manufacturing
• Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and compliance activities
• Ability to communicate safety & health messages as part of a team
• Work well with individuals external to the department
• Willing to work any shift and additional hours as required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Legally authorized to work in the US and will not now, nor in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa status (e.g., H-1B Visa status)
