Minimum Qualifications Earned Doctorate in Nursing or related field from a nationally accredited nursing program or equivalent accreditation. Eligible if near completion of a doctoral degree program. Master's degree in nursing from a nationally accredited nursing program with specialization in medical/surgical or adult health nursing. Acute care clinical experience. RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in baccalaureate or higher degree nursing education. Evidence of service in professional organizations (e.g. membership and/or committee involvement, presentations, research, and/or publications).

DutiesTeaches predominantly at the undergraduate BSN level in courses such as: NUR 3226 Adult Health Nursing I, NUR 3226L Adult Health I Clinic, NUR 3286L Gerontological Nursing Clinic, NUR 4227 Adult Health Nursing II, NUR 4227L Adult Health Nursing II Clinic, and NUR 3829C Foundations of Nursing Practice. These courses run 2-3 semesters each academic year. Conducts clinical teaching and simulation labs and advising. Expectations for scholarship will be those identified for rank as described in FPED and College documents. Service to school, college and university is expected in form of committees, accreditation activities, etc.
