Mgr Process Improvement 2
Position Summary / Responsibilities
Defines, designs and implements continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across organization. Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies. Analyzes improvement programs and potential results. Facilitates and coaches improvement teams. Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success. Installs process excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards. Must have six-sigma certification.
Manages a segment of a program directly related to process improvement initiatives. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing mgmt guidelines & general policies. Responsibilities include: planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order and/or mid-size technical services-type contract.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or equivalent and 10 years experience in Six Sigma or process improvement related field. Black belt certification required. 5 years experience within the aviation community implementing process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have experience in or around the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of aircraft.
