The Role:This position is responsible for building awareness of the companyâ?Ts web products through outreach and networking activities with high schools and community based organizations. This role would also be responsible for providing ongoing support to these institutions to make sure they get the most out of our offerings. The position will involve significant engagement with counselors, administrators and students from a variety of backgrounds. A significant amount of work may be done outside the office--- at schools, community organizations, and college advising centers. Required Skills: - Bachelorâ?Ts degree required; preferred areas of study: education, nonprofit management, marketing or communications. - Experience in educational outreach, community organizing, youth development, nonprofit development, or related area. - Experience building relationships through networking, partnerships, and community outreach. - Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present to small and large groups. - Exceptional follow-up and follow through skills; able to multi-task while paying attention to the details. - Ability to travel, work flexible hours as required for events/presentations. - Ability to provide exceptional customer service to a wide variety of organizations and individuals. - Working knowledge of MS Office. - Self-starter with a strong desire to make a positive difference and a passion for education. Other Beneficial Skills: - Experience working with first generation, low income, and minority students. - Experience in an educational setting (teacher, tutor, mentor, college advising). - Understanding of the college search and application process, including financial aid.
