Job description
The IBM BladeCenter team is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Worldwide team. Product Marketing Managers will work on projects dealing with new and emerging technologies in a fast-paced and competitive industry, in capacities ranging from analyzing market opportunities and formulating product strategy, to helping define requirements and competitive positioning, to worldwide product launches, sales enablement and sales plays. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for understanding market dynamics and helping to create and communicate value to internal and external clients. This position will ensure IBM delivery of customer focused, industry-leading offerings that meet IBM share and profit objectives and that enable and energize System x and IBM sellers. Product Marketing Managers will directly contribute to the ownership and success of IBM’s business.

Looking for candidates with strong, proven business skills, a passion for technology and the ability to think beyond typical approaches. Some travel including international is required.

Critical Skills:
Strong marketing skills including application of market and sales analysis

Strong interest in business concept innovation

Ability to work business and sales issues in a highly dynamic environment

Personal initiatives for exploring technology and tackling tough problems

Basic understanding of Information Technology business trends

Contribution in a team based environment, both as a team player and a leader

Strong personal communications skills both verbal and written

Demonstrated creativity in an business or organization context   Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• Basic knowledge in Applying market and sales analysis for successful business concept innovation
• At least 2 years experience in Understanding Information Technology business trends
• Readiness to travel 10% travel annually
• English: Fluent

  Preferred

• Master's Degree in Business/Management
