PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Investor Center Manager creates and implements Investor Center business plan initiatives focused on increasing incremental sales and overseeing branch activities within the local market to create stand alone profitability. The Investor Center Manager is also responsible for creating a proactive consultative sales environment focused on meeting the evolving customer needs. This includes managing the day to day sales and service delivery strategies for the branch including a strong focus on developing the staff and overseeing branch activities
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for creating a proactive consultative sales environment focused on meeting the evolving needs of the customer to incrementally grow sales in the local market; conducts monthly sales meetings and weekly sales huddles with staff; provides routine coaching to all staff focusing on the conversation model and sales competencies development; coaches and mentors lower level staff on consultative sales approach; may listen in on calls/conferences, review recorded calls, or lead sales team meetings to provide suggestions to improve overall sales skills; shares best practices throughout branch network; personalizes incentives and recognition of staff reinforcing the sales environment; sets and reinforces individual sales goals/ expectations based on sales/productivity targets and development plans.
2. Supports Marketing strategies for business growth, expansion plans, and enhanced services; represents the face of the company in our local markets in the pursuit of new assets to the firm; maintain competitive insight and local market knowledge; coordinates sales activities with both external and internal clients and partners.
3. Leads a team of sales and service associates. Responsible for recruitment and performance management of staff.
4. Ensures that staff operations are in compliance with internal policies, as well as NASD and SEC regulations. Handles complaints, approvals for signature guarantees, and good will reimbursements; reviews documents to ensure compliance and high level of quality.
5. Proactively develops sales leads to incrementally* grow sales for the branch/ firm focusing on key sales activities; follows up on internal referrals; proactively seeks external referral business; makes call-outs to unconverted literature inquiries; performs local solicitations including mailings and unsolicited call outs to target populations; participates in local networking opportunities and trade shows when appropriate; conducts seminars and presentations for clients and prospects.
6. Oversees branch budget, financial expenditures, and facility related needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• College degree and 4 yrs related work experience, or a minimum of 8 yrs related work experience • Series 63, 7, 65 or 66 licenses • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Capable of managing an off site facility as back up to the manager/sound judgment • Able to inspire and motivate team members to achieve center goals • Demonstrated excellent people savvy skills • Demonstrated ability to understand an individual's stated and unstated needs and respond appropriately to those needs. Uses differing questioning techniques to validate important information. • Demonstrated strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into parts and offer solutions. Demonstrates the ability to translate complex information and situations into a clear and simple message • Demonstrated strong consultative sales expertise and acts as a trusted advisor • Demonstrated ability to rebound quickly from difficult situations/ resilient • Strong drive for results. Demonstrated ability to take the initiative in applying creative strategies to increase incremental sales. Demonstrated ability to work independently • Comfortable interacting with clients in a face to face environment and offering financial advice • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills • Flexibility • Team player • Willing to travel • Series 24 and Series 51 or 53 (must be obtained within 6months of hire) • Life and Health (must be obtained with first 12 months of hire)

• Face to face client related experience and or consultative sales experience.
