Auto req ID 23900BR Business Title Integrated Solutions Specialist, MBA Technology School/Unit Harvard Business School Sub-Unit ------------ Location USA - MA - Boston Job Function Information Technology Time Status Full-time Schedule Department MBA Salary Grade 058 Union 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary Duties & Responsibilities The Integrated Solutions Specialist will ensure smooth adoption and support of MBA Program technology across home-grown and purchased technology solutions. The responsibilities include:
* Serve as MBA's point person for vendor-based technology solutions
* Serve as liaison to ITG's vendor manager, or liaise directly with vendor representatives and MBA business unit technology leads as appropriate
* Manage development release cycle as it relates to MBA business cycle and oversee MBA user testing
* Attend vendor conferences and education sessions; include MBA constituents as necessary
* Build relationships with vendor user communities to support ongoing knowledge sharing and collaboration
* Attend multi-school meetings as MBA's key representative
* Manage feature requests and bug tracking with vendor solutions
* Support MBA's ongoing use of vendor solutions
* Assist with documentation of business processes, particularly those that affect multiple MBA sub-departments
* Serve as liaison to other HBS departments sharing the same technology platforms
* Work with Subject Matter Experts in MBA departments to identify and queue enhancements to vendor solutions
* Coordinate with members of MBA Technology team, MBA sub-departments and HBS's IT Group to ensure smooth integration and support of vendor products and HBS-built solutions
* Assist with reporting as appropriate
* Support MBA's stewardship of HBS enterprise data, in collaboration with MBA and HBS constituents
* Work with HBS's IT Group and MBA sub-departments to troubleshoot technology issues, and provide training to MBA staff as appropriate
Basic Qualifications BA/BS or equivalent experience required. Requires 4+ years of technology vendor relationship and support experience, preferably in an educational setting. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of technical and non-technical constituents.
Comfort with relational database concepts, data integration support, and data analysis skills required.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as to manage processes and initiatives independently. Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, keeping constituents informed and engaged. Ensure progress on key issues.
Proven ability to foster relationships both internal and external to the organization to keep abreast of new technologies, product releases, and learning opportunities. Ability to identify and create effective support and training solutions.
Additional Qualifications Experience with any of the following is a plus: Oracle, particularly Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft, CRM technologies, MBA Focus, NetPartner, Sharepoint, and reporting and analytical tools such as Hyperion.
