About the Position:The Woodring College of Education offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, degree, endorsement and certificate programs at locations around the greater Puget Sound region. The College is currently seeking exceptionally qualified faculty for temporary, part-time or non-tenure track teaching positions in instructional technology on Western's main campus in Bellingham, Washington. Occasionally, but rarely, there are opportunities for fulltime employment. About the Department:Students admitted to programs in the Woodring College of Education are required to possess competence in the use of instructional technology prior to completion of their program, and when applicable, prior to being recommended for certification. The primary responsibility of the program is to ensure students acquire this competence. Opportunities for advanced studies in instructional technology have in the past been provided. For more information visit: http://www.wce.wwu.edu/Depts/IT/ Position Responsibilities:Teach courses in the classroom use of instructional technology within content areas specific to elementary, secondary, and special education. Opportunities to teach advanced courses in instructional technology are not currently available. Required Qualifications: * Master's degree in instructional technology or relevant academic area * Undergraduate and graduate course background in instructional technology * Successful teaching in the K-12 public school systems * Knowledge of national standards relative to teaching and learning with technology * Commitment to integrating technology in the K-12 classroom Preferred Qualifications: * Ph.D. or equivalent * Experience working with diverse populations * Successful university/adult teaching experience * Successful and relevant employment at Western Washington University Academic Emphasis:Instructional Technology Job Location:Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA Salary:Commensurate with experience and qualifications Bargaining Union:United Faculty of Western Washington Application Instructions and Requested Documents:Please log in below and submit your application via WWU's Electronic System for Employment (EASE).
