Instructional Designer - VIRTUAL WORK
Instructional Designer
-At least three years in a training environment, including a combination of training
analysis, design, and development
-Proven understanding of adult learning theory, curriculum design, and principles
of performance based training
-Proven ability to apply the ADDIE model to specific projects
-Proven ability to evaluate existing training for instructional soundness and determine
what changes are necessary to improve the training
-Proven ability to quickly get up to speed in order to understand the business issues
of the client and design quality training solutions toward these ends
-Proven ability to work well individually and as part of a team, including working with
SMEs and virtual team members
-Highly motivated, self-starter (needs to be able to keep moving forward with the next
task as each previous one is completed)
-Needs to be able to think creatively in order to design and develop training that is
engaging and utilizes available technology (where appropriate)
-Must be comfortable creating training for multiple delivery methods (i.e. not only instructor
-led or only web-based)

-Must have experience with Adobe Presenter
-Must have strong skills with online tools such as captivate, firefly, flash etc...
-Must have strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Other skills:
-Should have proven ability to create skill checks and practices (to include case
studies and scenarios)
-Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and be able to adapt and learn
other tools
-Would be helpful to have someone who has created sales, leadership, and/or soft
skills training in the past
-Would be helpful to have knowledge of the insurance and banking industries
-Would be helpful to have someone who has created branching training
