Job Purpose: The Project Manger I works with new and existing customers to bring them live with software and solutions provided by Nelnet Business Solutions. This position will work, with guidance, on complex multi-campus implementations and with challenging customers.
Essential Job Functions: 1.Provide information for management decisions a.Project timeline and status reports b.Customer competence level c.Risk factors of a project d.Satisfaction level of a customer
2.Customer Service a.Establish personal relationship with customers b.Understand customers business needs c.Advocate for customers priorities d.Deliver bad news when necessary
3.Manage QuikPAY Implementations a.Analyze business requirements and ensure the implementation will best meet customers needs b.Identify and organize tasks required to bring customer live c.Hold customer responsible for meeting their deliverables d.Bring projects live on schedule
4.Support NBS Products (i.e. QuikPAY) a.Assist in researching technical support questions b.Answer support phone when needed c.Provide service directly to customers
5.Innovate, Learn and Mentor a.Stay current on industry trends b.Research and propose new technologies / methodologies c.Suggest improvements to products / processes d.Mentor others when in a position of having greater knowledge
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1.Demonstrated skills in project management techniques, methods, processes and practices. 2.Ability to manage projects from inception to implementation, to understand and define system component requirements, and work within critical deadlines. 3.Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and presentation skills 4.Exceptional organization and time management skills. 5.Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 6.Strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus. 7.Ability to present complex concepts in lay terms to individuals and groups.
Education and Experience: 1.College graduate or equivalent experience. 2.1-2 years experience in position(s) working under general supervision and requiring the handling of existing customer add ons, overseeing straight-forward projects 3.Experience in providing customer service. 4.Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other common project management software. 5.General knowledge of NBS products and solutions is a plus. 6.Experience working with on-line applications.
