The Position: The Community College of Aurora is a dynamic institution now developing new academic programs to serve the needs of a growing student population. This faculty member teaches courses in business, accounting, finance, management, project management or marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating curriculum in compliance with departmental guidelines.? The faculty member works collaboratively with colleagues across the college and/or in other activities, participates in advising, committee assignments, high school recruitment, and other academic and institutional support activities.? Faculty responsibilities include: participating in the development of curriculum and the use of current technology; actively engaging students; contributing to the processes of instructional planning, and assessment review; pursuit of continued professional development in both subject matter and instructional methods; and supporting student activities.? The successful candidate for the position will be a creative academic leader with a sense of humor who works well in a collaborative, participative environment.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Teach effectively Provide leadership and management for the Business Department Recruit, evaluate, and supervise adjunct faculty Assist with the developing partnerships with colleges and universities to promote transfer and articulation agreements Collaborate with the college?s high school recruitment and enrollment operations to foster new student enrollment
Required Qualifications: A Master?s degree in the content or related area is required or a master?s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching area.
Preferred Qualifications: Instructional experience Dedication to interactive learner-centered teaching methods Advanced degree Experience in program or curriculum development Demonstrative effectiveness in partnering with public and/or private entities
Salary:??range is mid $30s to $50,000.00.? Salary is commensurate with education and experience.? CCA offers an excellent benefit plan.? Leave and holiday benefits are also included.
