Exciting In-Home Therapist Opportunities Available with IFCS in Boston, Massachusetts! IFCS is thrilled to announce a new region in Boston, MA, housed out of the MENTOR office on Congress Street. A partner of The MENTOR Network since 2009, IFCS currently serves families in Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia through intensive in-home family centered services. Founded in 1988, the IFCS service model provides individualized, practical support to families, including assistance during times of crisis and help with parenting in unusual or difficult circumstances. IFCS also works with families to resolve conflicts, address their communication needs, and provide support when the tasks of daily living are overwhelming.
IFCS has been working very closely with state and local mental health leaders regarding Boston's need for high-quality, evidenced-based, intensive in home family treatment and all decision makers firmly believe that IFCS is the ticket to fully supporting Boston families in need of these services.
IFCS is seeking Master's and Bachelor's level Family Centered Specialists to provide superior service delivery to our initial Boston families. Details are below.

Accountable to the
IFCS Regional Director and Regional Team. Family Centered Specialists are expected to model through their behaviors and attitudes the values that reflect and are consistent with those outlined in the Policy and Procedures Manual, ethics agreement, training materials, and policies of the agency. All employees are encouraged to develop professional networks in their state and local communities that help to further family centered practice. Certification in Family Centered Treatment® (FCT) via the Wheels of Change training program is required to receive designation in advanced FCS positions. Additional certification is required in order to provide FCT for specialty populations or programs.
Primary Responsibilities: Clinical Service Delivery
The primary services are to be provided via direct involvement with the client and other family members. The Family Centered Specialist is required to provide Family Centered Treatment and other assigned family preservation service or support service models including assessments.
Documentation and Recording
Provide the required contact/daily reporting data, reports, plans of service or treatment, and court reports etc., on time and in a form that meets the needs of the family, referring agency and/or state or federal standards and requirements of IFCS.
Collateral Relationships
Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel from referring / collateral agencies. Adherence to the FCT protocol regarding collateral contact is expected regardless of the model of treatment provided.
Individual Supervision and Team / Peer Supervision
Participate in individual and team supervision as scheduled - usually weekly.
Specialist Services
The requirements for specialty services are linked to one or more of the following: credentialing/degrees, licenses, contract expectations, and/or specialty certifications. The specialist services offered by IFCS include, but are not limited to:
• Training and Development in specific specialties per assignment; training of new or tenured FCS peers.
• Participation in FCT Family Centered Evaluation Structural Family Assessments.
