Environmental Project Manager - WM Sustainability Services - Little Rock, AR
Title: Environmental Project Manager - WM Sustainability Services - Little Rock, AR Location: Arkansas-Little Rock Waste Management Sustainability Services' Environmental Project Manager located in Little Rock, AR, plans and directs all onsite activities at client location in relation to storage, logistics, transportation, and shipping of recyclable material to approved recycling facilities; serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues and contract management; and maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.
The successful candidate and possess the ability to network and negotiate within multiple markets.
Responsibilities include: * Market and manage logistics; identify and negotiate with entities who possess the ability to receive and reprocess waste * Research and identify optimum markets with the ability to recycle specific waste material. * Consult with client to identify, design and implement cost saving opportunities and proposals. * Ensure compliance with client and government regulations by performing necessary inspections and reporting. Resolve all issues in a timely manner. * Administer client and vendor financial obligations including invoicing, reporting and contracts. * Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state & local regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of non-supervisory employees. This include may include the direct supervision of up to 10 full-time operations level employees

* Be adept in creative problem solving and decision-making * Innovative thinking * Effective and concise communication * Strategic thinking and strong leadership and relationship building skills * Proficient Technical and Computer abilities
Education and Experience
Required:Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Accounting or Business and two or more years experience with responsibility in project/business management. Additional five years work and/or experience may substitute for Bachelor's Degree at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Preferred: Master's Degree in industry related field (Accounting, Environmental Sciences) or Business Administration. Environmental or related industry experience. One or more years of experience in a supervisory level position.
Marketing and Business acumen is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is preferred.
An entrepreneurial skill set is highly valued with the ability to creatively achieve stretch goals and provide new services and value to existing customers.
