Elementary Afterschool Assistant Site Supervisors (5) $11.45/hr September-June Monday-Friday, 18.5 hours between 2:00-6:00pm (12:30pm Mondays). Must have 2+ years experience working with youth and families from diverse backgrounds in school/afterschool/camp settings. Assistant Site Supervisors will support the Site Director in the daily operation of schoolage childcare and/or academic afterschool program. Responsible for coordination and supervision of program and staff, communication with parents and school day personnel, administrative tasks, behavior management and other duties as assigned. May 6, 2011 Facilitate learning activities to support and increase academic performance for children in grades K-5. Program leaders are responsible for implementing reading and/or math lessons (provided) and assisting with homework, as well as classroom and behavior management and planning, leading and supervising recreational activities. Programs take place Monday through Friday (Mondays approximately 12:45-5:15pm and Tues.-Fri. approximately 2:15/3:00-5:15). Work two to five days per week up to 18.5 hours. Fluency in Spanish or Hmong and experience working with elementary-age youth are a plus. Many schools are on the bus line.
