The College Board, a national educational organization, is conducting a search for anEducational Manager, K-12 Serviceswho will join our Midwestern Regional Office (MRO) in Rosemont, IL. MRO is a member of the College Board’s Region and Account Services division.
Position Summary As an account manager, the Educational Manager develops meaningful relationships with members of the K-12 education community in an effort to promote educational equity, access and excellence for students of all backgrounds. Under the leadership of a Senior Director, the Educational Manager supports partnerships and accounts such as schools, districts and states primarily within the region, and supports programs and services relating to regional activities of the College Board’s College Readiness unit.
Responsibilities * Manages service delivery relationships for client accounts by assisting them in navigating College Board programs and services. Performs account management activities which may include: meeting with outside individuals or groups to provide information about College Board programs and services; maintaining records of contact and follow up; obtaining feedback from outside individuals or entities regarding programs and services. * Provides program expertise to support the consultative sales process. * Participates in account planning and budget development. * Fosters growth and retention of accounts. * Supports regional association and membership goals including the support of governance activities related to regional councils and regional forums. * Manages delivery of workshops, seminars and conferences which may include: teacher training workshops, teacher training summer institutes, teacher training in-service days. * Identifies, monitors, and recommends solutions to regional issues concerning program articulation, implementation, and revision. * Assists with the delivery of state agency reports.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; graduate or professional degree preferred, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a managerial or professional position in the education field such as teaching, counseling, or administrative experience at the secondary level. Extensive knowledge of the secondary school environment.
