Overview:
The Capacity Planning and Monitoring manager is responsible for Capacity Analysis and Monitoring of the overall Macy's, Inc. eCommerce sites. This position main duties include planning hardware and software for projected growth, either by additional holiday trends or specific new traffic patterns based on newer functionality. The position is also responsible for monitoring the health of the system and closely working with both the operations and development staffs to improve the overall eCommerce site stability. The Manager will use their eCommerce technical expertise to guide their team through analysis and resolution of complex problems of large scale eCommerce retail web sites. The Manager must be able to work across a large matrixed organization and concisely communicate complex technical topics to a Sr. management audience. The manager must be able to manage effectively in a dynamic 24x7 environment.

· Supports and upholds the integrity of ongoing methodology and approach for new systems
Skills Summary:
· 3 years in engineering management roles
· 3 years of experience in systems integration
· 5 years in overall ecommerce system support, development or operations
· Advanced knowledge of a wide range of eCommerce monitoring solutions. (Splunk, ITCAM, DynaTrace, Keynote, CoreMetrics, CoRadiant, RTView, SiteScope, etc.)
· Expert knowledge of highly scalable eCommerce architecture
· Advanced knowledge of eCommerce system software (WebSphere, multiple versions of UNIX, Linux)
· Expert problem solver
· B.A., B.S. or M.S or equivalent experience preferred
· This position will require approximately 10% travel to other Macy's offices.
This position will be located in Johns Creek GA.
