Job Description:
The Crew Lead is responsible for assisting the Regional Operations Manager in the supervision of operational staff in the delivery of operations, preventative and corrective maintenance, and demand service for various building systems. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, unless otherwise informed, the Crew Lead is expected to spend over 80-90% of the time actually performing the same duties as the service technicians on the team with respect to preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, demand service, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the Regional Operations Manager in field level supervision of activities of BLJC Technicians in the delivery of preventive maintenance programs, corrective maintenance activities, demand service and day-to-day operations. 2. As requested, assists in coordinating sub-contractors in the delivery of preventive maintenance programs, corrective maintenance activities, demand service and day-to-day operations and minor capital projects 3. Documents and reports activities related to building operations and maintenance, providing input to the Operations Manager and Facilities Manger with respect to building conditions, deficiencies and recommendations. 4. Ensures compliance and assists in training the team in complying with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environment, health and safety and life safety systems. 5. Liaises with the Regional Operations Manager and the Facilities Manager for the purpose of enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations. 6. Participates in quality assurance program and ensures delivery of the services of the assigned team meets or exceeds the requirements as set out in the Client contract. 7. Complies with internal BLJC policies and standard operating procedures ensuring service delivery team meets expectation. 8. Provides technical support and back-up and assistance in training to local technical team. May be required to work shifts, available for on-call/stand-by and emergency call-out as required. 9. Ensures the technicians on the assigned team's weekly and monthly reporting requirements are submitted on time. 10. Provides direction and support to Technicians, as requested, by the Regional Operations Manager and ensures effective and efficient delivery of services. 11. Participates in and supports training, safety meetings, operational meetings, tool box talks and other assignments, as requested. pares reports, as required. 13. Assists the Regional Operations Manager, as requested, in employee job evaluation, employee and performance reviews including employee recommendations and hiring requests. 14. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Three (3) to five (5) years construction/building maintenance/operations experience -depth knowledge of commercial building systems 4. Proven ability to effectively supervise people: schedule and assign duties, monitor and evaluate performance, supervise day-today operations 5. Convey a positive and professional image at all times 6. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and team player 7. Knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety issues
