The Northrop Grumman Team at the MTC-Leavenworth provides formal course instruction and field support of MCS (ABCS) systems to the Army National Guard. The Mission Command Systems-Support Team (MCS-ST) primary mission is to train and support National Guard units participating in War Fighters and Pre Mobilization. The MCS Support Team members are not only instructors but knowledgeable in information technology and system administration. The qualified candidate will plan, develop, and coordinate in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtain information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepare training materials; develop course content; determine methodology; and coordinate the development of training aids. Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. The qualified candidate must have strong written, presentation & verbal communications skills and experience in the development and delivery of military training course material. This individual shall have the technical ability to troubleshoot and operate MC Systems, solve communications problems within a simulated digital Tactical Operations Center (TOC), and to assist with the installation, set up, and maintenance of the network for communications and operations. They will ensure digital TOCs are maintained IAW DOD Information Assurance requirements and coordinate with outside agencies for the purpose of conducting simulation exercises.
Basic Qualifications: - Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with Command Post of the Future (CPOF) both in classroom and in a field environment.
- At least 4 years experience in MCS (ABCS) and a firm understanding of MCS (ABCS) architecture.
- Ability to give formal classroom instruction.
- At least 4 years of prior military experience.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of at least one other MCS (ABCS) System.
- Windows OS/Unix/Linux/SunOS.
- Understanding of network architecture and system configuration. - Excellent Communication Skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
