Wireless Generation seeks a dedicated and experienced leader ready to transform Delaware’s schools from “data rich” to “data driven” and to help support a flagship Race to the Top program. The Coach the Coach Coordinator will share responsibility for the successful delivery of an intensive distributed Data Coaching program for schools in Delaware selecting the Coach the Coach (CtC) implementation model, based upon Wireless Generation’s Taking Action with Data methodology.
Responsibilities of the Coach the Coach Coordinator :
Insure fidelity of implementation of the Taking Action with Data PLCs in assigned CtC schools.
Inspire and provide support for school coaches in public and charter schools across the state.
In conjunction with Wireless Generation Project Management work with the Delaware Department of Education and Local Education Agencies to ensure successful delivery of the Data Coach Program in CtC schools.
Provide resources and coaching for school coaches who facilitate monthly meetings of teacher leaders in Professional Learning Communities in their schools, with a focus on using data to improve student outcomes.
Participate in and monitor implementation of school coaches training on coaching methodology, professional learning communities, data analysis, and state and local data systems.
Observe and provide feedback for school coaches’ direct work with PLC Facilitators and/or teachers, including observing PLC meetings and classroom visits.
Collaborate with project management to facilitate monthly and quarterly reporting
Extensive travel throughout Delaware required.
Requirements of the Coach the Coach Coordinator :
Minimum 10 years of K-12 experience, five of which has been in a leadership role managing educators and five years of classroom teaching.
Masters of Education required.
Cognitive coaching and meeting facilitation experience. Experience with the DuFour model of Professional Learning Communities preferred.
Demonstrated success using data to drive classroom and school-wide change.
Mastery of effective instructional strategies and practices, including methods of differentiating instruction and fostering student engagement.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
Passion for education and ongoing personal learning.
