Summary:
Our client is seeking a self-motivated, driven individual to assist with the design, development, testing and deployment of C++ software.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain database and scriptable software written in C++
Perform unit testing, create test cases and assist with end user testing of modifications.
Maintain technical knowledge of existing and new technologies.
Identify client needs and industry trends and recommend tasks to accommodate.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
Familiarity and experience with various computer languages and technologies including: C++, SQL and AJAX, HTTP, SSL, SMTP and other network technologies.
Familiarity with SOAP, RESTful and other web services technologies
Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, including interacting with databases from client applications
Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task, determine priority of assignments, and maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations
Able to promptly assist client services with quick and accurate software related solutions and problem solving.
Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
Experience with hardware and software issues.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Typing proficiency: 40-60 wpm.
Education and/or Experience:
The Candidate must hold a Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
