Position Description Position Overview: Translation of the Expedia content and websites into Brazilian Portuguese
Responsibilities: Translation and maintenance into Brazilian Portuguese of UI, Hotel and general content for Expedia. Creation and maintaining the appropriate linguistic assets and tools (translation memories, reference materials etc).
Qualifications: Degree from a School of translation (equivalent diploma from a Brazilian Portuguese speaking university) or equivalent work experience in localization
Work Experience and Education Guidelines: Minimum 2 years of translation experience.
Core Competencies: MUST be native Brazilian Portuguese speaking. Linguistic skills and aptitude: familiar with working in a multilingual environment Technically minded: able to grasp technical and complex concepts quickly Desirable - Knowledge of Translation Memory tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task Excellent attention to detail, special ability to focus on linguistic issues
