Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI) is seeking an extremely organized ASSOCIATE PRODUCER (Administrative Assistant) to support one of our Conference Directors. This is a mid-level project management position for a detail-oriented team player with a background in the life sciences.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Each Associate Producer and Conference Director team works to create a dynamic set of conferences focused on R&D in the biotech and Pharma sectors. Duties include: - Research scientific conference topics by evaluating competitive events, reviewing journal publications and press releases, and conducting phone interviews - Communicate with high-level conference speakers via phone and e-mail - Compile, organize and proofread conference materials, including brochures, web sites, event guides and marketing campaigns - Travel to and run conferences on-site (approximately 6 trips annually)
Associates will receive ongoing training in conference production and, over time, may assume increased responsibility for producing events on their own.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent, (preferably in life sciences) - At least 5 years of administrative, project management and/or conference production experience in a deadline-driven job, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry - Excellent communication skills, including experience working with high-level scientists and/or executives - Background in proofreading or copyediting technical documents - Proficiency with Internet research, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe - Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
