The Customer Sales & Support Training Team works to fulfill the Medtronic Mission by developing and delivering world-class learning solutions for the 24-Hour HelpLine, Supply Order Sales Team, Customer Support Center, Pharmacy Team, and Customer Experience Excellence Team. The Associate Training/Education Specialist plays a critical role in making this happen! This position will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating new hire learning solutions for the 24-Hour HelpLine.
Position Responsibilities
Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate new hire training programs for the 24-hour HelpLine team, including classroom training sessions, self-study programs, and print materials Develop creative, interactive training tools, quick reference guides, and exercises to increase interest during training and knowledge retention Develop and administer online testing and post-training evaluations Perform cubicle rides periodically to ensure transfer of skills/training to the job Provide real-time coaching for individuals on the floor Provide candid training performance feedback to trainees and trainees' supervisors/managers Contribute to story-boarding and development of eLearning content and blended-learning solutions Communicate frequently and effectively with key stakeholders to ensure that training programs are aligned with the goals and objectives of the business Other related duties as necessary
Basic Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales or customer support, which involved a complex product or sale and required in-depth technical or clinical knowledge High school graduate from an accredited school and have completed at least one (1) year of college. Superior presentation skills Demonstrated superior verbal and written English skills, including advanced knowledge of grammar and punctuation usage requirements, for the purpose of creating and editing curriculum and training communication Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office applications
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years of experience in sales or customer support, which involved a complex product or sale and required in-depth technical or clinical knowledge Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Organizational Development or Business Administration Highly self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to organize and work under strict time deadlines, while producing quality deliverables Proven track record of superior sales or customer support success Experience with curriculum development and training facilitation Demonstrated project management experience, successfully leading multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles Prior diabetes or healthcare experience Knowledge of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and Insulin Pump Therapy Demonstrated expertise with Adobe applications Knowledge of SAP Member of ASTD Member of Toastmasters
