Aspen Music Festival & School - Assistant Recording Engineer: Assistant Engineers are members of the Edgar Stanton Audio Recording Institute (ESARI) staff which also includes a Director of Audio Production, Chief Engineer, Media Engineer, Media Assistant, Senior Engineers, and a Dub Room/Archive staff member. This team records all of the performances for the eight-week summer season as well as providing sound reinforcement for many Aspen Music Festival and School events. The ESARI staff, including Assistant Engineers, record in a variety of venues including the Benedict Music Tent, Harris Concert Hall, Wheeler Opera House, and at the Aspen Music Festival and School’s Castle Creek Campus. Assistant Engineers will assist in the recording of a wide variety of performing ensembles including symphonic orchestras, chamber ensembles, operas and choral groups, new music, and computer music ensembles. Qualifications:Assistant Recording Engineers should have a good deal of experience and prior training in recording and sound reinforcement. Applicants must have a positive attitude, great attention to detail, and strong organization and communication skills. Applicants must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs and have a valid driver’s license.
