The Counseling Psychology Program at Boston University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position, tenure-track, beginning Fall 2012. Our Counseling Psychology Program is dedicated to the scientist-practitioner model, in which students are educated to effectively serve in academic or clinical settings. The program has master’s and doctoral programs in school counseling, community mental health, and performance/sports psychology. The successful candidate for the Assistant Professor position will have responsibility for teaching, advising, service, and conducting research in the area of child and adolescent mental health, with a particular focus on school-based interventions and issues in human development. The successful candidate will also contribute as a scholar, teacher, and leader in our doctoral and master’s programs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Currently, the program has well-developed strengths in the area of school counseling and performance/sport psychology, and has a collaborative relationship with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the Schools of Medicine and Theology.
