Montgomery College is seeking a full-time Art faculty member for the Rockville Campus. Assignment begins January 14, 2011, contingent upon available funding.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and demonstrates the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner.
Required Qualifications:
A Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art, or an equivalent degree.
Teaching experience in college-level studio art.
Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of college-level teaching experience beyond TA in studio art. Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Design teaching experience.
Duties and Responsibilities: Faculty member will teach studio courses in Two-Dimensional Design and Three-Dimensional Design. This position is expected to take leadership roles in a dynamic art department. Faculty members teach 30 equivalent semester hours(ESH) per academic year. Opportunities exist for faculty to teach summer school. Faculty members are required to participate in curriculum development, serve on department, campus, and College-wide committees, hold office hours, advise students, maintain an active program of professional development, and participate in professional organizations and activities.
