Administrative Coordinator
Volt, in partnership with a worldwide leader in transportation and business services is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support operations in their Auburn location.
This role requires an individual who is very organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage a large amount of documentation and overall work load. Main responsibilities will be ensuring timely payment of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) duties; determining priority and special processing requirements for transactions; completing entry/release transaction processing by assembling and routing documents to CBP, other government agencies, and carriers; securing prompt movement of cargo by obtaining freight release and communicating with carriers; ensuring compliance with CBP regulations by assembling entry summary documents and arranging for timely duty payment; maintaining physical and electronic transaction records by updating computer system and filing documents; and providing support for other team associates through completion of more complex or urgent tasks.
In addition, the Administrative Coordinator will provide assistance to the supervisor by monitoring workload, aid in problem resolution, train other associates, and ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing and retaining training material and documentation. May perform all other related duties as assigned. Requirements:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates should be very knowledgeable about CBP entry assembly procedures and local practices for obtaining carrier release and dispatching freight. This role requires the ability to move quickly between a number of tasks and reassign priorities throughout the day. Good communication skills are needed to interface with other members of the team and department. Must be able to provide guidance to other associates, and to resolve or assist in resolving problems.
