Program Coordinator Choose To Make A Difference. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Program Coordinator to work with 8 young adults. If you like to be on the go and are up for a challenge this is the job for Program Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight and daily operation of an Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR). This includes the direction of all personnel, maintenance, dietary, medical and consumer programming functions. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for the advocacy, coordination and facilitation of executing quality programming for consumers ensuring consistent compliance with state and federal operating standards, as well as the service goals of the REM Iowa s position will facilitate communication with family members, county contacts, state agencies, staff and other Program Coordinator will ensure staff consistently provides consumers with meaningful choices and learning opportunities through the principles of active ponsibilities:Operate, maintain and develop programs for consumers with disabilities, ensuring that all federal, state and county regulatory requirements are met, as well as agency tiate and promote the growth and personal development of consumers and rdinate daily operations in the facilities to ensure consumer development, financial, behavioral and medical needs are being ure appropriate behavioral interventions (i.e. redirection, blocking, escorts, manual restraints) are implemented as necessary to meet consumer ruit, hire and evaluate personnel ensuring appropriate training, development and corrective ticipate in a professional rotating on-call system which guarantees that staff is able to access supervisory staff as needed on a 24-hour ilitate the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) process for the development, revision and completion of each consumer's Plan of Care (POC) and Comprehensive Functional Assessment (CFA); developing, implementing, revising and monitoring data collection and Individual Program Plans for consumer training vide direct care to consumers as form other duties as uirements:18 years of age or sess a BA/BS, preferably in a Human Services related imum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with mental retardation and/or related vious supervisory erience working with individuals who display challenging behaviors erience with applicable licensing standards lified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) lled in advanced written and oral ic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and id driver's license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the iable transportation for on-the-job lity to lift 50 gible as determined by REM Iowa background check policy and other regulatory agencies requirements for criminal history.
