Job Description :
UHC, an alliance of more than 100 leading academic health centers, has an opening for an Account Executive in the Supply Chain Services department servicing the Los Angeles County Medical Centers. This position is based in Los Angeles, California. There is no relocation package provided.

The Account Executive is responsible for driving key product, agreement, and program initiatives and meeting or exceeding our operating earnings and member satisfaction goals. The ideal candidate will maximize UHC member satisfaction and value through consultative selling of UHC and Novation program and services. This position will require a more strategic approach for the delivery of services to the customer. The ideal candidate will understand the members cost reduction goals and assist members in allocating resources needed to take costs out of their supply chain. The position reports to the Regional Vice President/West.

Major responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: 
* Develop supply chain strategy to propose and implement supply cost management solutions
* Lead and focus team efforts in data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, and formulate conclusions and recommendations within the member.
* Build strategic relationships at the executive levels to establish UHC/Novation's value with members 
* Assists members in optimizing their supply chain
* Assess member needs, perform satisfaction planning 
* Sell, market and maximize use of the Novation and UHC contract portfolios to increase penetration within UHC healthcare organizations to reduce member supply costs
Job Requirements :

*  MBA preferred; will consider undergraduate degree with 5-10 years of experience
* Strong communication and messaging skills with Senior level administrators
* 7-10 years' experience in health care 
* Clinical background preferred but not required
* Proven project management skills
* Broad diversified knowledge or healthcare environment, group purchasing and materials management functions
* Consultative selling skills at Executive levels 
* Action oriented, high initiative with advanced communication skills ·
* Strong data and analytical skills
* Proven record of sales success and implementation of supply chain management, cost reduction strategies ·
* Computer (laptop) literate, software product mastery - MS Office Suite
* 30% travel required
