CSM is currently seeking a 12 month Clinical Simulation Coordinator nursing faculty member who has extensive prior experience and /or skills in the following areas: * 3 -5 years clinical practice in nursing, Medical-surgical experience preferred * 3- 5 years college teaching experience; preferably at the community college level * Ability to use a wide variety of teaching methods; including online teaching * Experience with teaching adult learners * Experience with course and curriculum development * Experience in test construction * Experience in use of multimedia * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required * Experience with grant development and management preferred The individual hired for this full time position is required to teach 30 load equivalencies per 12 month contract period in the Health Sciences Division distributed between classroom and simulation activities. Faculty are expected to teach the courses to which they are assigned and to develop courses and curricula in cooperation with the Division Chair. Five (5) office hours per week are required for student advisement. The Clinical Simulation Coordinator has the administrative and leadership roles to guide and supervise the development, implementation and evaluation of the functions of the Clinical Simulation Laboratories (CSL) and other simulation activity at all three campuses of the College of Southern Maryland. The Coordinator promotes and coordinates the teaching, learning, and evaluation activities conducted by faculty, students and members of the community while in the Clinical Simulation Center.
